شواهد قبورهم قبل
وصولهم حُفِروا
السوريون عمالقة الرجولة
أسيادها
كانوا و لا زالوا
تشهد السيوف بحروبهم لم تغمدُ
سلو العصور عنهم
والتاريخ يشهدُ
والحاضر أشد و أعظم
نقشنا الحرف
سطرنا اللغات
إكتشفنا العلم
ومازلنا في العالم أجمع
بين عالم و مخترع و مبدعُ
حرائرنا
حكمت و تسيدت
والتاريخ مازال يكتب
الجوليتن دومنا وميسا
وسهمية و ماميا
بصفحات روما تلمع
وزنوبيا
أعمدة تدمر
تحكي شموخها
سورية لها التاريخ ينصع
ست الشام
فتحت مدراسها
والعلم فيهم يسطع
ست الوزراء
تشهد مجالسها
بها اللغة والشعر والادب يرفع
والتاريخ مازال يسجل
العائشتين سطرتا الروايات ابداع
وغادة ادبها في كل مجتمع
في كل الميادين
تجد اسماءهم
لهن الاذان بحديثهن تسمع
دمشق فيحاء العروبة
ياسمينها عبق الشجاعة
وجوريها تاج الفروسية
ابوابها للضيف مشرعة
على العدو منيعة
فإن وطئتها مسالما
عليك السلام
أمنا مطمئنا
ماءها فرات بردى
نسيمها من كل غوطة
بلسما عليلا
فيا مرحبا بالضيف
إن زرتنا
وإن هلت علينا الحرب
فنحن أهلا لها
حلت على رقابكم
سيوفنا
أرواحنا في سبيل الشام
فدوة
لنا من شهداء الأجداد
قدوة
عند الأموي صلاح الدين
راقد
وفي ميسلون يوسف
قائم
ساحات دمشق بشهداءها
تتغنى
خذها مني
كلمة و معنى

إن أردتها بسوء
فلا تتعنى
